Northrop Grumman Marine systems specializes in the development;
manufacturing, assembly and testing of missile launching and handling
systems, propulsion, and power generation systems for naval surface
ships and submarines. Casual employee is hired for a predetermined
limited period of time or hired to complete a specific task/project.
Casual employees are paid only for hours worked and are eligible to
participate in only a limited number of benefit plans such as workers
compensation, Unemployment compensation, and Social Security. In
addition, they are eligible to participate in the NG Savings Plan.
Casuals are not eligible for any other benefit plan. Designs and plans
layout for such activities as machining, metal forming, plastics
processing, welding and brazing, assembly and materials handling. Adapts
machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most
efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of operations and
specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and
other functions that affect product performance. May incorporate
inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects
performance of machinery, equipment and tools to verify their efficiency
and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and
deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes
that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those
techniques. Provides guidance to Engineering regarding design concepts
and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and
manufacturing techniques. 2-5 years of related job experience. MRP
Systems, CAD design and modeling experience. B.S. in Manufacturing or
Industrial Engineering required. Must be a US Citizen. MULTIPLE
POSITIONS. Security Clearance Required.
