Seeking a highly-motivated self-starter to work in a demanding manufacturing environment to assemble, modify, rework and repair wire harnesses, circuit card assemblies and full-up electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Perform micro-soldering, and micro-welding operations to fabricate delicate microelectronic and electronic assemblies. Perform intricate placement and alignment, wire bonding and hand soldering of miniature components. Will perform work using assembly drawings, shop aids and various types of manufacturing assembly and process instructions. Must be able to understand and work from engineering drawings and sketches and be able to follow exacting written as well as verbal instructions. Must be able to set up and operate typical production tools and equipment like ovens, wire cutting machine, wire stripper, wire crimper, component forming tools and machines etc. Successful candidate will be assigned primarily to the SBIRS Mechanical Integration Team. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Requires high school/trade school or equivalent, minimum three (3) year of electrical and electro-mechanical assembly experience. Must be capable of working on parts under magnification. Must be able to obtain all required skills training and certifications necessary to perform job tasks. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree from a Trade School with extensive hands-on expreience in cable and harness fabrication and precision electronic assembly Northrop Grumman is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
