Position Summary:
Responsible for the production (to include packaging) of food products in an efficient manner and at an acceptable level of quality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Direct the work of employees in the production department.
Review and approve all production schedules.
Set up and maintain efficient production processes.
Make plant inspections and insure plant's sanitary condition and operating procedure supports Sara Lee product quality and food safety standards.
Responsible for the receiving function including incoming supplies and warehouse storage and cleanliness
Review and approve all employment-related actions for production employees.
Insure compliance with FDA, EPA, OSHA, and HACCP regulations
Responsible for managing department expenses.
Maintain a safe work environment and insure that employees work in a safe manner.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
High School diploma required; BA or BS preferred.
AIB Baking Science residence course graduate preferred.
3-5+ years experience in bakery operations with at least 2+ years of supervisory experience.
Knowledge of appropriate federal, state, county, city and institutional regulations regarding food-processing operations.
