Position Summary:
Responsible for the direction and operation of Sara Lee's non-union, 725
person manufacturing facility producing our famous State Fair Corn Dogs
& Jimmy Dean Sausage products located in Haltom City, Texas.
General duties include, but are not limited to:
Providing overall leadership and direction to direct reports responsible
for the production, and sanitation operations.
Implementing strategies to increase efficiency, maintain quality, and
ensure continuous improvement of production, and sanitation processes
and procedures.
Creating a work environment which reflects a commitment to protecting
the health and safety of employees, food safety and quality; and
identifying and supporting the development of internal talent in
preparation for future advancement and promotional opportunities.
Responsible for positively impacting employee relations by exemplifying
and enforcing consistent, fair and inclusive employment practices, legal
and corporate compliance, and attitudes and behaviors reflective of the
company's commitment to diversity.
Responsible for the implementation of practices related to Lean
Manufacturing and Real Time Results (RTR).
Responsible for developing a working relationship with USDA to ensure
compliance of federal guidelines and requirements.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess 5+ years manufacturing management and 10+ years
experience in the USDA food processing industry.
Preferred four-year college degree in Production Technology,
Engineering, Food Science, Meat Science, Animal Science and/or business
related field.
Experience and knowledge of applying LEAN, Six Sigma and/or Continuous
Improvement management techniques within a manufacturing environment.
Familiar with Food Safety regulations, processes and procedures
including HACCP, FDA & USDA
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Bilingual in
Spanish is a plus.
