Position Summary:
Responsible for the production and packaging of bakery food products in an efficient manner and at an acceptable level of quality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Direct the work of union employees in the production department.
Review and approve all production schedules and manage overtime to budget.
Ensure that products are produced in accordance with quality specifications.
Set up and maintain efficient production processes, safe work environment and that employees work in a safe manner.
Make plant inspections and ensure plant's sanitary condition and operating procedure supports product quality and food safety standards.
Responsible for the receiving function including incoming supplies and warehouse storage and cleanliness.
Review and approve all employment-related actions for production employees.
Ensure compliance with FDA, EPA, OSHA, and HACCP regulations
Responsible for managing department expenses.
Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the Safe Quality Foods (SQF) system.
Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems.
Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system.

Qualifications
BA or BS required
5+ years experience in food production or manufacturing with at least 3+ years of supervisory experience.
