Position Summary:
Supervise, direct and ensure that the design, process, and delivery of
the finished products and services consistently meet and/or exceed
customer's expectations. Responsible for ensuring that the company
achieves its goal of quality that is essential for enhancing growth and
stability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create a culture of Safety and teamwork throughout the facility.
Ensure that all guidelines of GMP, FDA/USDA standards, Environmental
Control Act and OSHA standards are in compliance; lead health, safety,
and environmental processes for assigned areas.
Maintain working relationship with the collective bargaining unit,
ensure compliance with the collective bargaining agreement to achieve
company goals.
Maintain a positive working relationship and ensure compliance with the
terms and conditions of Sara Lee's policies and procedures and Global
Business Standards - to ensure compliance with all company policies,
plant rules and all regulatory agencies.
Support the operation in ways to improve efficiencies and to help reduce
overall costs.
Lead and develop a high performing work organization utilizing Lean
Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement concepts that maximize employee
teamwork, contributions, suggestions and decisions.
Facilitate problem solving and develop action plans to address
performance issues and achieve key performance indicator goals.
Supervise 20 -30 associates to help achieve key performance objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related area.
3 to 5 years manufacturing experience.
Strong and effective communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Problem solving and planning skills focused on the ability to plan,
prioritize and execute.
Must be adaptable to organizational culture change.
Must be willing to rotate shifts.
