Position Summary:
To supervise and direct the production operation within the guidelines
established by the plant and corporate policy in a safe, efficient and
quality manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop team members to handle daily business needs to meet goals and
objectives.
Utilize resources to accomplish plant goals through establishment of
effective organizational
relationships, decisions guidelines, effective controls and realistic
goals and objective.
Responsible for smooth operations of production insuring that all
procedures are followed properly.
Plan and carry out monthly or periodic inventories
Motivating the team members to establish and maintain acceptable
standards in the areas of appearance, attendance, work habits etc.
Ensuring that the team and individual development processes are
functioning well enough to make good use of the capabilities of the
teams and their members.
Identify departmental and plant cost savings projects.
To be familiar within the current Labor Contract ensuring proper and
uniform administration of its provisions.
To maintain departmental programs which assures full compliance with
pre-established Federal, State, Corporate, Plant sanitation, and safety
standards.
To manage our structured departmental cost reduction/improvement
programs to meet or beat our annual savings and productivity improvement
targets.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
and current/relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Required knowledge of accepted quality assurance procedures and
guidelines, effective oral and written communication skills and
expertise in the areas of human relations skills and team development.
Problem solving and planning skills focused on the ability to plan,
prioritize and execute are essential to the position.
Leadership skills that exhibit integrity, ownership and a "can-do"
attitude are a must.
Decision-making skills with an inherent ability to command, consult,
gain consensus and effective delegation also required.
Must be willing and able to rotate shifts.
