Description
Technicians do various types of work, including running high-speed
converting and packing equipment, controlling the process from a
computer terminal, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment.
Technicians are expected to get involved, take charge of situations and
confront business-related problems.
Technician work teams are responsible for keeping production flowing,
for meeting performance goals and for maintaining the high level of
quality that consumers expect from our products.

operation/maintenance of equipment.
· Technical: Identifies and resolves a variety of equipment problems and
has demonstrated ability to use job related computer applications.

· Able to identify or correct a variety of technical/equipment problems.
In order to perform the work described above in our manufacturing
atmosphere, plant technicians must have the ability to work at heights
and climb stairs/ladders/platforms, on and around equipment for the
purpose of operating, maintaining and troubleshooting, ability to lift
objects up to 50 pounds, ability to push and pull objects requiring up
to 50 pounds of force pounds. The ability to twist, turn and bend at the
knees and back, ability to use basic hand tools, ability to meet the
requirements of safe operation and personal safety, including wearing
hearing protection, eye protection, foot protection and respirators,
ability to respond appropriately to alarms, horns and other operating
and safety signals, ability to correctly interpret gauges, dials,
written operating instructions and safety warnings, ability to drive a
lift truck which includes turning the head body to drive in reverse,
ability to operate a computer keyboard to input and access data, ability
to keep and maintain accurate records and data.
The Andover Procter & Gamble Plant operates 5-days per week with
overtime on weekends as dictated by the business. Work on weekends may
be as overtime or as part of the Technician's normal schedule. Changes
in business volume and production requirements can cause the plant to
occasionally change the length of work shifts or the rotation schedule.
Technicians must be willing to work any shift. Additional days could be
required to be worked as overtime.
Qualifications
All applicants must:
· Be 18 years of age or older
· Have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education
