Position Overview:
The Fullerton Facility creates a unique opportunity to develop leaders
and continually improve processes. This is a great opportunity for the
successful candidate to work as a Maintenance Manager with high
visibility and opportunity. This position will report to the Plant
Manager and offers challenging projects, professional growth
opportunities and the ability to work with the best in the industry.
Develop and implement a long-term maintenance strategy to improve
equipment reliability. Assess maintenance and equipment performance and
develop a predictive and proactive plan. Identify and anticipate major
repairs, replacements and capital projects to insure improved and
continuous operations.
Direct the maintenance of physical assets of the plant to insure
continued operation and attainment of line effectiveness, yields and
costs. Lead and support improvements in asset effectiveness and develop
tracking systems for downtime and action plans.
Lead and implement a preventative maintenance process to improve OEE,
manage spare parts, increase inventory turns and reduce costs.
Manage the Facility Maintenance expenses to insure the most effective
use and delivery of fixed and variable operating budgets.
Manage plant infrastructure and facility maintenance including
powerhouse, refrigeration, building and utilities. Insure compliance
with all company, city, state and federal regulations.
Support the plant productivity team in reviewing operating standards,
line speeds, OEE, yields and work with Manufacturing Engineering and
Operations to identify improvement opportunities.
Develop, manage and execute a work request process that achieves plant
objectives for quality, productivity, safety and GMP improvements.
Includes identifying needs, estimating costs, evaluating benefits,
determining classification, requisitioning and project management.
Directs maintenance of plant buildings and coordinates requirements for
new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules for equipment and
machinery.
Manage the capital blanket process including identifying projects,
estimating costs, forecasting cash flow, and obtaining CAR approvals.
Manage and implement capital projects on time, within budget and to meet
scope requirements. Insure compliance to Kraft/PM policies and
procedures. Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and
facilities acquisition.
Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing
Management, Business or related field required. Advanced degree helpful.
Minimum of 7 - 10 years plant level operations and maintenance
supervision in a manufacturing environment. USDA preferred.
Proficient in SAP Maintenance system a plus.
Strong organizational and proven project management skills; results
driven with demonstrated results
Solid interpersonal and oral and written communication skills in English
Ability to communicate in Spanish - preferred
Strong analytical/critical thinking
Strong accountability and follow-through skills
Experience in high speed packaging equipment
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekends.
